Love Without Borders:Second TaiwanICDF Online Film Explores Sustainability
The TaiwanICDF launched the first in a new series of online films in February via its official website and social networking pages. The film, Care, was designed to show humanity just how valuable a resource water really is, as well as inspire care for those in developing nations, and received much positive feedback in response from viewers.
Earth Day, held April 22 each year, aims to remind humanity to unite in the face of sustained existential threats such as climate change and intensifying energy shortages. To mark this year’s event, the TaiwanICDF is now releasing Chinese- and English-language versions of its second short film, Sustainability. Related to concepts associated with the UN’s promotion of a “green revolution,” the film shows how the TaiwanICDF has drawn on Taiwan’s strengths and experience to determine its vision and assist developing partners to pursue environmentally sustainable development, because with only one Earth between us, acting unselfishly is a sign of one’s strength — we’re all in the same boat together.
This new film, which highlights the potential crises we could all face, hopes to arouse the attention and participation of a rising number of people across borders and promote the concept of worldwide sustainable development. Viewers are welcome to watch the film at the TaiwanICDF’s official site, as well as at its YouTube and Facebook pages.
