The TaiwanICDF released Care, the first in its new series of short, online films, Love Without Borders, today, February 23. The series of films will look at how the uneven distribution of global resources can cause poverty and create problems for development, as well as show how the TaiwanICDF, in its role as a development agency, assists developing nations to access these resources and alleviate poverty. Focusing on the theme of water resources, the first film is designed to show just how valuable a resource water really is, and inspire care for those in developing nations. Viewers are welcome to watch the film, which covers the TaiwanICDF’s water-resource projects in Africa, at the organization’s official site, as well as at its YouTube and Facebook pages.

The Love Without Borders series is scheduled to focus on six themes: care, sustainability, development, self-reliance, beginnings and respect, which together demonstrate the spirit of the UN Millennium Development Goals and the OECD’s Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness. When viewing the series on the TaiwanICDF’s external community and social networking pages, viewers will also be able to follow links to the organization’s own website, which hosts further information on related projects. By raising awareness and inspiring care, the TaiwanICDF hopes to gain greater support for Taiwan’s international aid efforts and, through the participation of a greater number of people, make what is possible become reality, so that development is something more than just a distant dream.
