Dr. Zully Vera de Molinas, Rector of the National University of Asunción (UNA) in Paraguay visited the TaiwanICDF on September 6th, and we extended our warmest welcome to her visit. 

The Secretary General of the TaiwanICDF, Amb. Dr. Charles C. Li, began the meeting with a briefing video about TaiwanICDF activities, which provided the Rector with a deeper understanding of the organization's main tasks. Both sides then discussed the future bilateral cooperation projects

The National University of Asunción has been an important partner of the TaiwanICDF since 1976. Currently, the “Surubi Commercial Production Project” which is implemented by the Taiwan Technical Mission in Paraguay, is collaborating with the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences of UNA. We assist in enhancing the aquaculture capacity by conducting trials on fish species with commercial potential and promoting the results and breeding models to guide the production sector. Moreover, the results of the collaboration are being showcased through journal publications and international conferences.

During the meeting, while Amb. Li was outlining the various projects which are implemented by the TaiwanICDF in Paraguay, the Rector specially presented the National University of Asunción badge to Amb. Li, symbolizing the firm friendship between the two parties. We sincerely hope that under this firm relationship, we can foster more diverse collaborations.
