TaiwanICDF Partners with Workforce Development Agency TCNR Branch Charging in Sustainable Transport with Electric Vehicle Maintenance Skills

A training program provided advanced knowledge and skills in electric vehicle maintenance was held from May 8th to June 12th. A total of 36 participants from 9 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, including instructors from vocational training institutions, faculty members from technological universities, as well as managers and senior technicians in the vehicle industry, successfully completed the course.

This program, a collaboration between the TaiwanICDF and the Workforce Development Agency TCNR Branch, the Ministry of Labor, focused on practical technical skills related to electric motors, automobiles, and hybrid vehicles. Participants had hands-on experience disassembling Taiwan-brand electric motorcycles, which deepened their understanding of the internal core structures of E-motors.

In addition, the participants visited electric bus manufacturing plants, large-scale bus charging stations, and automotive tool factories. Through interactions with the private sector, some participants have initiated discussions about collaboration opportunities in their countries for planning and evaluating E-bus manufacturing. This training empowered participants to bring the latest technologies back to their home countries, nurturing young talents in the green transportation industry. These initiatives also enhance Taiwan's global influence in energy-efficient transportation and push forward Taiwan’s business landscape into Latin American market.
