Project Description:
The TaiwanICDF cooperates with the CARICOM Development Fund (CDF) on a credit guarantee mechanism — the Credit Risk Abatement Facility (CRAF) — to encourage local financial institutions to provide green loans to small- and medium-sized enterprises led or owned by women (Women SMEs) in the Caribbean. The purposes of such loans include renewbable energy and energy efficiency investments.

Accelerate the green transition of women SMEs in the member countries of CDF.
Executing Agency:
CARICOM Development Fund (CDF)
Implementation Arrangement:
The project provides credit guarantees and trainings on green project development and assessment to qualified financial institutions which join CRAF to increase the access of women SMEs to green loans.
The Caribbean Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (CCREEE) also joins forces with the project to offer technical assistances to women SMEs to facilitate the origination of feasible and bankable green projects.
