Governor-General of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis Visits the TaiwanICDF
Governor-General Marcella A. Liburd of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis visited the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) on October 11, 2023.
TaiwanICDF Secretary General, Amb. Dr. Charles C. Li. warmly welcomed Governor-General Marcella A. Liburd and the other esteemed guests. They exchanged views on the TaiwanICDF’s cooperation projects in St. Kitts and Nevis.
The TaiwanICDF’s ongoing projects in the country include the Capacity Building Project for the Prevention and Control of Metabolic Chronic Diseases, Layer Chicken Industry Sustainable Development Project、Digital Identity Authentication Project, Nevis Small Enterprises Re-Lending Project, and the Solid Waste Management and Recycling Project. Under the framework of the Taiwan Youth Overseas Service program, the TaiwanICDF also dispatches servicemen to assist with the implementation of projects.
To date, a total of 160 participants from St. Kitts and Nevis have received training from the TaiwanICDF’s professional workshops, and a total of 68 students from the country have received International Higher Education Scholarships and studied in Taiwan.
