The TaiwanICDF Organized the Workshop on Policy of Information Security to Improve Regional Cybersecurity

Published Friday June 2, 2023

The TaiwanICDF organized the Workshop on Information Security Policy, which lasted from May 24 to June 6. A total of 25 participants from friendly countries joined the training. Several experts provided lectures, including representatives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau of the National Police Agency, Investigation Bureau of the Ministry of Justice, National Center for High‑Performance Computing, Industrial Technology Research Institute, and others. The workshop discussed information security technology and real-world experiences in combating cybercrimes, and it also featured information security attack and defense drills.

The workshop promoted regional information security by focusing on two core topics: cybersecurity policy formation and technical exchanges. An Australian expert from the Asia-Pacific Network Information Center (APNIC) led participants in role play exercises, which included a tabletop drill where they roleplayed a cyber incident and a red team drill where groups attempted to infiltrate their own cyber defenses. This training improved participants’ defensive and offensive capabilities, strengthening their awareness and enhancing their skills in cybersecurity.
