The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Marshall Islands, Kitlang Kabua, visited the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) along with a delegation on April 14, 2023. 

The TaiwanICDF Secretary General, Ambassador Timothy T.Y. Hsiang, warmly welcomed Minister Kabua and the other honorable guests before exchanging views on the TaiwanICDF’s cooperation projects in the Marshall Islands.

The TaiwanICDF’s ongoing projects in the country include the Enhancing Nutrition Balance Through Agricultural Production Project as well as the Livestock Expansion Project. In addition, the TaiwanICDF dispatches volunteers and service members to assist with project implementation as part of the Taiwan Youth Overseas Service program.

To date, a total of 148 participants from the Marshall Islands have received training from the TaiwanICDF’s professional workshops, and a total of 23 students have received International Higher Education Scholarships and studied in Taiwan. Currently, six Marshallese students are studying in higher education in Taiwan.
