Project Description:

To build a path to economic recovery and women empowerment for the Caribbean region in the post COVID-19 era, the TaiwanICDF partners with the Eastern Caribbean Partial Credit Guarantee Corporation (ECPCGC), which is regulated by the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, on building a credit enhancement scheme for this region to address the challenges of woment businessses in accessing finance.

Project Objectives:

Assisting women MSMEs in the Eastern Caribbean countries in increasing their access to financial services, so as to support women entrepreneurship, women employement and the sustainability of women businesses, and therefore contributing to a more equitable, inclusive, and stable society and economy for these countries.

Executing Agency:

Eastern Caribbean Partial Credit Guarantee Corporation (ECPCGC)

Implementation Arrangement:

Through the establishment of a credit guarantee scheme dedicated to women MSMEs in St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and St. Lucia, this project helps lower the barriers of those women MSMEs which are lack in sufficient collaterals to obtain the financial services needed to maintain their businesses or make capital investments, from the financial institutions accepted by ECPCGC to participate in the project.
