Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis Visits the TaiwanICDF
The Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, National Security, Citizenship and Immigration, Health, and Social Security of St. Kitts and Nevis, Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew visited the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) on November 10, 2022.
TaiwanICDF Secretary General Amb. Timothy T.Y. Hsiang warmly welcomed Prime Minister Drew and the other esteemed guests. They exchanged views on the TaiwanICDF’s cooperation projects in St. Kitts and Nevis.
The TaiwanICDF’s ongoing projects in the country include the Capacity Building Project for the Prevention and Control of Metabolic Chronic Diseases, Enhancing Agricultural Adaptive Capacity to Climate Variability Project, Nevis Small Enterprises Re-Lending Project, and the Solid Waste Management and Recycling Project. Under the framework of the Taiwan Youth Overseas Service program, the TaiwanICDF also dispatches servicemen to assist with the implementation of projects.
To date, a total of 146 participants from St. Kitts and Nevis have received training from the TaiwanICDF’s professional workshops, and a total of 61 students from the country have received International Higher Education Scholarships and studied in Taiwan.
