One with the world, Taiwan responds: the TaiwanICDF produces a promotional video during the World Health Assembly

The World Health Organization (WHO) has designated 2022 the year of “Health for Peace, Peace for Health”. To echo this theme, aside from co-hosting a forum on Increasing Accessibility to Health Care in Emergency Contexts with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), the TaiwanICDF has also produced a video titled “One with the world, Taiwan responds!”. We hope to raise awareness of the TaiwanICDF’s efforts in joining hands with international organizations and partner countries to protect the health of the most vulnerable groups in society. The video has been released on our YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/rN8LbHu-3fY

This video uses dynamic images and infographics to structure the transitions. Through the video, the audience can see the various projects the TaiwanICDF undertakes to protect the health of the most vulnerable groups in society and to aid different countries in responding to the emergencies cast upon them. For example, we co-hosted the webinar on the management of COVID-19 patients in the Pacific Islands with USAID. We also cooperated with the Polish Center for International Aid (PCPM), delivering cash assistance to vulnerable households in Lebanon to secure their basic needs and provide them protection. By cooperating with the Terre des hommes Foundation (Tdh), we delivered quality services through digital applications amidst the pandemic. By implementing the “Public Health Emergency Response System Enhancement Project” in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, we strengthened the public health emergency response system and reduced pre-hospital mortality rates. Through these projects, the TaiwanICDF shows the determination and the efforts of Taiwan to join hands with the world in responding to all kinds of humanitarian aid and public health emergencies.

To let domestic and foreign audiences gain a deeper understanding of Taiwan’s foreign assistance work, the TaiwanICDF has self-made videos to introduce its various projects implemented overseas.
