The TaiwanICDF is cooperating with Taiwan Nurses Association and CARE to conduct the webinar: The Impact of Nursing Empowerment on Health Care System

The TaiwanICDF is cooperating with Taiwan Nurses Association (TWNC) and INGO CARE to conduct a webinar during the 73rd World Health Assembly on November 11. The webinar aims to share best practices in terms of nursing empowerment and identify challenges for future development.



A board member from International Council of Nurses (ICN) will host this webinar as moderator, and the first vice president of ICN will give the featured address. Representatives from TWNC, CARE, and Good Neighbors, and a nurse scholar from Indonesia will explore the strategies and challenges for Taiwan's assistance to partner countries in nursing empowerment; nursing sector and empowerment in partner countries; leadership in nursing transformation; and nursing empowerment for maternal and infant care in primary healthcare institutions in humanitarian settings. The TaiwanICDF has been working with partner countries to enhance the capacity of nurses by taking a training of trainers (ToT) approach for in-service training, and will present its CKD prevention project in Belize as a successful case. Finally, the Vice Minister of Health of Guatemala will give closing remarks to share insights on nursing empowerment from a partner country’s point of view.
