TaiwanICDF Mission Leaders’ Conference 2010-11

The TaiwanICDF Mission Leaders’ Conference 2010-11 drew to a close today following the attendance and participation of 30 TaiwanICDF Mission Leaders from around the world. During the 12-day conference, mission leaders enhanced their know-how by participating in four training modules: (i) Lectures; (ii) Field Trips and Observation; (iii) Case Studies; and (iv) Medium- to Long-term Project Planning.

The overall purpose of the conference was to assist mission leaders at Taiwan Technical Missions to enhance their capacity for international cooperation and encourage new approaches toward technical cooperation. Participants also received instruction on effective performance appraisal and managing for project objectives.

During the conference, TaiwanICDF Secretary General Tao Wen-lung announced the awards for Outstanding Missions and Overseas Personnel in 2010. The full list of winning personnel and missions is as follows---

●Best Mission:Taiwan Technical Mission in the Republic of Nicaragua)
●Highly Commended:Taiwan Technical Mission in the Kingdom of Swaziland)

●Best Mission Leader:Hsiang Shui-sung (Taiwan Technical Mission in the Republic of Haiti)
●Highly Commended:Lin Yen-Jen (Taiwan Technical Mission in the Republic of Indonesia)

●Best Mission Personnel:
1. Wu Yuan-an (Taiwan Technical Mission in the Kingdom of Swaziland)
2. Yang Yeong-Lang (Acting Mission LeaderTaiwan Agricultural Technical Mission in Tuvalu)
3. Chang Shih-chan (Taiwan Technical Mission in the Republic of Haiti)

●Highly Commended:
1. Lee Wei-chih (Acting Mission Leader Taiwan Technical Mission in the Kingdom of Swaziland)
