Making strides with medical institutions in international public health medical development—TaiwanICDF holds 2019 International Public Health Medical Aid Development Forum

To share the accomplishments of Taiwan’s public health and medicine advantages in assisting our friendly nations, the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) will hold the 2019 International Public Health Medical Aid Development Forum: Forward to the next mile at the Socrates Hall, GIS National Taiwan University Convention Center on December 6, 2019. Participants will gain a better grasp of how the TaiwanICDF work with partners to effectively implement public health and medicine projects, combining and responding to international public health development trends to develop new projects.

The two major themes of this year's forum are “TaiwanICDF Aid Effectiveness Guideline and Practice” and “Towards the Next Mile of International Public Health and Medicine Assistance Development". Moderators of the forum will includes Dr. Chien-Liang Liu, president of Mackay Memorial Hospital and etc. In the forum, representatives of the TaiwanICDF will share the current international development trends and project implementation experience while partners from public and private medical institutions will share their cooperation experience with the TaiwanICDF. Ms. Cindy Lai, deputy director of the International Cooperation Office of the Ministry of Health and Welfare and Dr. Hung-Yi Chiou, director of Master Program in Applied Molecular Epidemiology of the Taipei Medical University, will act as commentators and conclude the sessions.

As Taiwan’s professional foreign aid organization, the TaiwanICDF has been cooperating with domestic medical institutions, international non-governmental organizations and partner countries on public health projects for many years, providing partner countries with evidence-based basis for policy formulation, and jointly strengthening the capabilities and quality of medical services in partner countries. We will continue to integrate and mobilize community resources to achieve universal health coverage, and work with partners to move forward in the field of international public health and medical care.
