St. Kitts and Nevis Speaker of National Assembly Visits the TaiwanICDF

Hon. Anthony Michael Perkins, Speaker of National Assembly of St. Kitts and Nevis, accompanied by his wife Mrs. Linda Erma Perkins and two Parliamentary Counsels of National Assembly, Mrs. Allison Adline Isaac and Ms. Karen Antoinette Hughes, visited the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) on October 9, 2019.

TaiwanICDF Secretary General Amb. Timothy T. Y. Hsiang warmly welcomed Hon. Perkins and Mrs. Perkins and the other honorable guests. They exchanged views on the TaiwanICDF’s cooperation projects in St. Kitts and Nevis.

The TaiwanICDF’s ongoing projects in the country include the Land Administration Information System Project, the Enhancing Agricultural Adaptive Capacity to Climate Variability Project, the Capacity Building Project for the Prevention and Control of Chronic Kidney Disease and the St. Kitts and Nevis Pinney’s Beach Park Project. Under the scheme of the Taiwan Youth Overseas Service program, the TaiwanICDF also dispatches servicemen to assist with the implementation of projects.

To date, a total of 140 participants from St. Kitts and Nevis have received training from the TaiwanICDF’s professional workshops, and a total of 46 students from the country have received International Higher Education Scholarships and studied in Taiwan.
