TaiwanICDF co-organizes the Water Resources Management Workshop with the Water Resources Agency, Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Department of the Interior

Together with the Water Resources Agency, Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Department of the Interior, the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) is holding the Water Resources Management Workshop from September 18 to October 1, 2019. Thirty government officials and experts in water conservation from 17 countries are participating in the workshop to discuss issues in water resources, including sustainable use, management efficiency, monitoring and technology utilization under climate change. The workshop highlights Taiwan’s achievements in the field of water resources management.

Taiwan leads the world in reservoir dredging and smart water saving technologies. Therefore, the TaiwanICDF invited officials from the Water Resources Agency, Ministry of Economic Affairs and experts from the Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Department of the Interior, to share the technological achievements in reservoir dredging. A field trip to Chianan Irrigation District will showcase Taiwan’s new technologies.

In addition, the workshop provides an opportunity for collaboration between government departments and private enterprises. Through private sector participation, Taiwan’s companies can understand the water conservation policies and problems faced by various countries to enhance communication and exchanges. More export and overseas business market opportunities can be explored through the platform of TaiwanICDF’s workshop.
