First Vice President of Congress of Ecuador Visits the TaiwanICDF
A seven-member delegation led by First Vice President of Congress of Ecuador, Hon. César Fausto Solórzano Sarria, visited the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) on August 22, 2019.
TaiwanICDF Deputy Secretary General Dr. Pai-Po Lee warmly welcomed Hon. Solórzano Sarria and the other honorable guests. They exchanged views on the TaiwanICDF’s cooperation projects in Ecuador.
The TaiwanICDF’s ongoing projects in the country include the Oyster Cultivation Development Project and Specialized Financial Intermediary Development Fund— Subproject Próspero Microfinanzas Fund. Under the scheme of the Taiwan Youth Overseas Service program, the TaiwanICDF also dispatches servicemen to assist with the implementation of projects.
To date, a total of 158 participants from Ecuador have received training from the TaiwanICDF’s professional workshops, and a total of 17 students from the country have received International Higher Education Scholarships and studied in Taiwan.
