Purpose

The TaiwanICDF Alumni Society is composed of people of who have participated in TaiwanICDF training and education programs in Taiwan and overseas, and other interested parties. Society objectives are to sustain relationships and continued interaction among TaiwanICDF Alumni in all countries, TaiwanICDF personnel, and educational, cultural and governmental institutions in the Republic of China(Taiwan) and allied nations.

TaiwanICDF Alumni Society members make contributions to the development of their home countries by holding seminars, workshops and conferences related to the training they received in Taiwan. They also keep the TaiwanICDF and other colleagues in their regions informed of their achievements.

Conditions

Each chapter of the TaiwanICDF Alumni Society is composed of at least twenty residents of the same country who have attended TaiwanICDF seminars or workshops. Members jointly apply to the TaiwanICDF to organize a society chapter, conforming with the laws of the country where the chapter is located. More than one chapter may be organized in any particular country.

Each TaiwanICDF Alumni Society chapter has a president and a vice-president elected from among members for two-year terms. The president and vice-president are responsible for the affairs of the branch and for communicating with members. Each chapter may set up an office on its own, or may use the ROC Embassy in the country as a liaison office.

If local regulations limit the establishment of an TaiwanICDF Alumni Society chapter, the ROC Embassy may keep contact with participants of TaiwanICDF seminars by holding meetings or other functions.

Affairs and Activities

*Holding seminars, forums or meetings of various kinds.
Assisting the Republic of China(Taiwan) manufacturers or business owners with *consulting services and visiting activities.
*Arranging activities such as tours for visiting officials.
*Compiling a members' directory.
*Other activities submitted to and approved by the TaiwanICDF.

Funding

Maximum regular funding for each country is limited to US$2,000 annually. Funding can be used for relevant administrative purposes.

Funding required for special activities may be approved by the TaiwanICDF. All funding shall be borne out of the TaiwanICDF's annual budget, and the proceeds shall be kept and monitored by the Republic of China(Taiwan) Embassy or consulate or representative office in the host country.

Application and Approval

To apply for funding, a chapter shall deliver a project proposal and budget through Taiwan Embassies to the TaiwanICDF four months prior to the beginning of any calendar year. This requirement is not applicable to major or emergency activities submitted to the TaiwanICDF for approval as special activities.

Funding approval shall be determined based on the efficiency of the society's affairs. If the society's affairs are not implemented effectively, then the funding may be suspended. An TaiwanICDF Alumni Society chapter may collect membership fees from its members if necessary.
