Food For The Poor (FFP), a Christian international aid organization, was founded in 1982 and has become one of the most significant relief organizations in the Caribbean and Central America. FFP follows the principle that education and self-help must fortify charity work so recipients learn to break the cycle of poverty. FFP supports programs teaching recipients livestock-raising techniques and small business development as well as those providing agricultural assistance to independent farmers.
