The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is a multilateral development bank headquartered in London, England. It was established to foster the transition toward market-oriented economies and promotes private and entrepreneurial initiatives in Central and Eastern Europe and the previous Commonwealth of Independent States of the former Soviet Union.

The EBRD invests in 39 economies  across three continents, from the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean, to Central and Eastern Europe, to Central Asia. The operations span agribusiness, infrastructure, transport and many other sectors. It is one of the world leaders in climate finance.
