Dr. Marco Vinicio Cerezo Arévalo, Secretary General of the Central American Integration System (SICA), visited the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) on May 28, 2018. He was accompanied by two other representatives.

TaiwanICDF Secretary General Amb. Timothy T.Y. Hsiang warmly welcomed Dr. Cerezo Arévalo and the two honorable guests. They discussed the main activities of the TaiwanICDF and exchanged views on the further promotion of bilateral cooperation projects.

Dr. Cerezo Arévalo, former President of Guatemala, is known for his extensive work over several decades towards economic and political integration in Central America. He has also served as a member of the Central American Parliament and chairman of the Esquipulas Foundation. He expressed his gratitude to the TaiwanICDF for the high quality of the ongoing technical cooperation projects in the relevant areas of the SICA.
