Marshall Islands KEA Party Chairman and Senator of Nitijela Visits the TaiwanICDF
A five-member delegation led by the Marshall Islands KEA Party Chairman and Senator of Nitijela, Hon. Alvin T. Jacklick and the Minister of Education, Sports and Training, Hon. Wilbur Heine visited the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) on April 16, 2018.
TaiwanICDF Secretary General Amb. Timothy T.Y. Hsiang warmly welcomed Hon. Jacklick and the other honorable guests. They exchanged views on the TaiwanICDF’s cooperation projects in the Marshall Islands.
The TaiwanICDF’s ongoing projects in the country include the Horticulture Project, the Livestock Project and the Home Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Project in the Marshall Islands. Under the scheme of the Taiwan Youth Overseas Service program, the TaiwanICDF also dispatches servicemen to assist with the implementation of projects.
To date, a total of 85 participants from Marshall Islands have received training from the TaiwanICDF’s professional workshops, a total of 15 students from the country have received International Higher Education Scholarships and studied in Taiwan.
