Prime Minister of Saint Lucia Visits the TaiwanICDF
A four-member delegation led by the Prime Minister of Saint Lucia and Minister of Finance, Economic Growth, Job Creation, External Affairs and the Public Service, H.E. Allen Chastanet, visited the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) on November 10, 2017.
TaiwanICDF Secretary General Amb. Timothy T.Y. Hsiang warmly welcomed H.E. Allen Chastanet and the other honorable guests. They exchanged views on the TaiwanICDF’s cooperation projects in Saint Lucia.
The TaiwanICDF’s ongoing projects in the country include the Fruit and Vegetable Demonstration and Extension Project the Second Phase (St. Lucia) and Government Island Wide Network Project (St. Lucia). Under the scheme of the Taiwan Youth Overseas Service program, the TaiwanICDF also dispatches servicemen to assist with the implementation of projects.
To date, a total of 115 participants from Saint Lucia have received training from the TaiwanICDF’s professional workshops, and a total of 68 students from the country have received International Higher Education Scholarships and studied in Taiwan.
