Speaker of the Parliament of Kiribati Visits the TaiwanICDF

A four-member delegation led by the Speaker of Kiribati's Parliament, Hon. Tebuai Uaai, visited the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) on November 8, 2017.

TaiwanICDF Secretary General Amb. Timothy T.Y. Hsiang warmly welcomed Hon. Tebuai Uaai and the other honorable guests. They exchanged views on the TaiwanICDF’s cooperation projects in Kiribati.

The TaiwanICDF’s ongoing projects in the country include the Nutrition Enhancement Project, the Pig rearing Project, the Milkfish Aquaculture Project, and the Repair and Upgrade of Bonriki International Airport project. Under the scheme of the Taiwan Youth Overseas Service program, the TaiwanICDF also dispatches servicemen to assist with the implementation of projects.

To date, a total of 79 participants from Kiribati have received training from the TaiwanICDF’s professional workshops and a total of 30 students from the country have received International Higher Education Scholarships and studied in Taiwan.
