Minister of Environment, Land and Agriculture Development of Kiribati Leads Delegation to the TaiwanICDF
A six-member delegation led by the Minister of Environment, Land and Agriculture Development of the Republic of Kiribati, Hon. Alexander Teabo, visited the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) on September 5, 2017.
TaiwanICDF Deputy Secretary General Dr. Lee Pai-po warmly welcomed Minister Teabo and the other honorable guests. They exchanged views on the TaiwanICDF’s cooperation projects in the Republic of Kiribati.
The TaiwanICDF’s ongoing projects in the country include the Nutrition Enhancement Project, the Pig rearing Project, the Milkfish Aquaculture Project and the Repair and Upgrade of Bonriki International Airport project. Under the scheme of the Taiwan Youth Overseas Service program, the TaiwanICDF also dispatches servicemen to assist with the implementation of projects.
To date, a total of 78 participants from Kiribati have received training from the TaiwanICDF’s professional workshops and a total of 24 students from the country have received International Higher Education Scholarships and studied in Taiwan.
