Project Name:Integrated Pest Management in Vegetable Production and Fruit Flies Control Project in Royal Project Foundation (Thailand)

    Project status:Completed projects

    Cooperating Country:Asia-Pacific, Thailand

    Project Description:

The third-phase project (2017-2019) will focus on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in vegetable production and fruit flies control. The TaiwanICDF will cooperate actively with Thailand’s Royal Project Foundation to develop bio-control agents together with IPM for the control of major diseases and insect pests of vegetables and fruit flies; to arrange Royal Project study tours to Taiwan to study related technologies; and to hold training courses to enhance the skills of Royal Project technicians on relevant techniques during the third cooperation phase. Overall, the project will: 1. Develop effective bio-control agents for the IPM program for vegetable production in lettuces, cabbages and tomatoes. 2. Set up the IPM program for fruit flies control in fruit trees of peach, persimmon, and citrus. 3. Enhance the capability of technicians and extension staffs in the Royal Project on IPM techniques.

    Implementation Start Date:2017-01-01

    Implementation End Date:2019-12-31
