Speaker of House of Delegates of Republic of Palau Hon. Sabino Anastacio led a four-member delegation to visit the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) on January 21, 2016.

TaiwanICDF Deputy Secretary General Dr. Lee Pai-Po warmly welcomed the delegation from the Republic of Palau and exchanged views with Hon. Sabino Anastacio on TaiwanICDF projects in the Republic of Palau.

The TaiwanICDF is currently implementing the Horticulture and Nutrition Enhancement Project in the Republic of Palau, aiming to promote agriculture and food education courses and develop cultivation techniques that extend to diverse vegetables and fruits.

To date, a total of 71 participants from the Republic of Palau received training from the TaiwanICDF’s Professional Workshops, and a total of 6 students from Palau received International Higher Education Scholarship and studied in Taiwan. The TaiwanICDF has also hosted 10 participants from Palau to join the healthcare Personnel Training Program and 9 to join the Vocational Training Project for Youth in the Pacific.
