INGO delegation from the US visited TaiwanICDF

A ten-member delegation of the United States’ major international non-governmental organization (INGO) staff visited the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) on December 8, 2015.

The delegation consists of humanitarian and public health experts from influential NGOs and think tanks, including Direct Relief, International Medical Corps, RAND Corporation, Mercy Corps, and Center for Excellence in Disaster Management & Humanitarian Assistance。

TaiwanICDF Secretary General Amb. Weber V.B. Shih warmly welcomed the delegation and exchanged views with these experienced experts on the TaiwanICDF’s humanitarian assistance work.

The TaiwanICDF endeavors to provide recovery assistance in the aftermath of natural disasters, war or ethnic conflict, either in our partner countries or elsewhere in the world. We also establishes partnerships with domestic and international NGOs to carry out humanitarian projects. Joint implementation through the integration of resources generates a greater and more positive impact. For example, the TaiwanICDF work with World Vision Taiwan for the project entitled “Solomon Islands: Addressing Health and Hygiene needs of those affected by the Solomon Islands Flooding in Weathercoast, Guadalcanal”. We also work with Mercy Corps for the well rehabilitation project in Jordan.
