Project Description：Agro-Tourism Demonstration Farm, ATDF is the cooperation project approved and signed by both governments of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and St. Kitts and Nevis in March, 2011. The purpose of this project is to assist St. Kitts and Nevis in establishing an agro-tourism demonstration farm, which involves developing the farm’s operational framework, planning its agricultural zones, landscaping and building up a local team in managing St. Kitts Eco-Park in the year of 2014. For the following two years as the second stage, the project comprises several dimensions, such as capacity building, marketing strategy application, administrative management and technical assistance in order to strengthen its business sustainability.

Project Objectives：1. By operating the Park, the objectives of this project are:
(1) Tourism-oriented cropping management.
(2) Uses of herbal garden and multi-functional greenhouse are emphasized on education purpose.
(3) Construct sugarcane area and display agriculture- or history-related articles.
(4) Outsource two visitor centers.
2. Promote the concept of “green- tourism”.
3. Deploy expertise to facilitate the business management SOP establishment, know-how and experience transferring, and localization of techniques.

Project Performance：This project accomplished the capacity building for the local team (1 project manager and 22 employees). It also compiled the Report on Visitor Satisfaction and established the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Eco-Park Marketing, Tropical Orchard Production, Green House Flower Production, Landscaping and Maintenance, Place Rental, Visitor Service, Accounting and General Affairs. All of these achievements contribute to the future planning and operations of St. Kitts Eco Park.
