Project Description:In accordance with a request received from King Mswati III of the Kingdom of Swaziland, a chef specializing in Chinese cuisine will be dispatched to Swaziland to prepare meals for the royal family and instruct the royal household’s cooks in the preparation of Chinese dishes. The chef will be posted to Swaziland for one year, which may be extended as necessary.

Project Objectives:Select and dispatch a chef specializing in Chinese cuisine to Swaziland to serve as a royal cook and assume responsibility for the preparation Chinese meals for King Mswati III, the Queen Mother and the Queens. The chef will also instruct other royal cooks in the design and preparation of Chinese dishes in order to prepare for state dinner or royal banquet events.

Implementation Arrangement:A member of the TaiwanICDF will provide technical assistance and assistance for capacity building.
Current Progress:A chef has been dispatched to Swaziland and the project is being implemented on an ongoing basis.

Projected Benefits:The project will promote a cordial relationship with the Royal Household of the Kingdom of Swaziland by providing guidance on nutrition and training services through instruction to royal cooks in the design and preparation of Chinese dishes.
