Project Description:
The project was carried out by the Fundación Paraguaya de Cooperación y Desarrollo (FP). The FP utilized the loan funds from TaiwanICDF to provide loans to women-led businesses and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSEs).In line with the Paraguayan government's policy to encourage MSE formalization, all applicants were required to be properly established with tax identification numbers.The financing provided to MSEs comprised loans for working capital and fixed assets, offered on tailored credit terms. The FP assessed each loan application based on its established credit policies and approval processes.

Implementation Arrangement:
The Fundación Paraguaya de Cooperación y Desarrollo (FP) carried out the project using funds from TaiwanICDF to provide loans to three different types of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs). These included MSEs recommended by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Paraguay, businesses led by women, and other MSEs. The loans offered by FP to MSEs were divided into two categories: one for supporting working capital and the other for purchasing fixed assets, with customized credit terms. Each loan application was evaluated by FP based on their credit policies and approval procedures. Additionally, in line with the MSE formalization policy, all applicants were required to have proper establishment and tax identification numbers.
