Project Name:Belize Agricultural Product Processing Innovation and Incubation Project

Project status:Projects in Operation

Cooperating Country:Belize, Central America

Project Description:

Belize’s agricultural exports account for more than 60% of its total exports, yet about 40% of domestic food demand is still met through imports, indicating significant potential for growth in the local food processing sector. The core challenge is the absence of an integrated system to support the development of the agricultural processing industry, including limited processing facilities and technology, weak industrial chain integration, and an underdeveloped market distribution network.

Moving forward, the Central Farm Food Processing Center will serve as a foundation for strengthening linkages with the tourism industry through facility upgrades, the establishment of incubation bases, and the development of specialty agricultural products. These efforts aim to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals while advancing Taiwan’s broader national development and foreign policy objectives.
