Cooperating Country:Caribbean, St. Christopher (St. Kitts) and Nevis
Project Description:
The project involves the construction of a seawater desalination plant with a capacity of 2 million imperial gallons (approximately 9,000 metric tons) per day, utilizing modern energy-efficient reverse osmosis desalination technology. The produced desalinated water must meet the World Health Organization (WHO) standards for drinking water. Please see the vedio.

Current Progress:
The Ministry of Public Infrastructure of St. Christopher (St. Kitts) and Nevis is responsible for overall planning, management, and supervision of the project, and has assigned the St. Kitts Water Services Department which operates under its administration to carry out implementation. In accordance with government procurement procedures, the Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis has selected a professional turnkey contractor to undertake the design and construction of the desalination plant.
