Project Name:Response for La Soufrière volcano eruption in St. Vincent

Project Description:The eruption of La Soufrière volcano in St. Vincent and the Grenadines is expected to affect at least 16,000 to 20,000 Vincentians. The affected households are facing displacement after emergency evacuation. In addition, they also urgently need assistance for basic daily needs such as safe drinking water, WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene), shelters and other important non-food items (NFIs). Hence, this project provided safe drinking water, water storage items (water tanks, buckets, etc.) and hygiene kits to meet the basic needs of impacted persons, and provided NFIs such as field tents, blankets, sleeping mats, etc., to support the affected households to stay in shelters and other temporary placement sites.
