Project Description:
To support the post-pandemic economic recovery of our allies in Latin America and the Caribbean, and to maintain social stability through enhancing women's economic empowerment, this project aligns with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' policy planning. By integrating financial services with employment and entrepreneurial capacity building, it aims to assist women and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in coping with the impact of the pandemic, thereby promoting economic recovery and social stability in our allied countries. The main components of the project include:
- Institutional capacity enhancement
- Vocational skills training for women
- Women's entrepreneurship incubation and guidance
- Relief guidance for MSMEs

Project Objectives:
- Enhance institutional functions.
- Provide vocational skills training for women.
- Offer women’s entrepreneurship incubation and guidance.
- Provide relief guidance for MSMEs.
Implementation Arrangement:

- Taiwan Embassy in Haiti
- Taiwan Technical Mission in Haiti
Current Progress:
By the end of December 2023, the project successfully concluded with the following achievements:
- Institutional Capacity Enhancement:
- Provided support to 7 vocational training institutions, training 180 seed teachers and 270 management personnel.
- Assisted 4 entrepreneurship incubation institutions, training 180 enterprise counseling consultants and 270 management personnel.
- Vocational Skills Training for Women:
- Conducted 15 vocational classes in computer skills, beauty, and catering, enhancing the employment and entrepreneurship skills of 590 women. 3.Women’s 3.Entrepreneurship Incubation and Guidance:
- Held 3 rounds of entrepreneurship incubation management training, supporting 240 new entrepreneurs in industries such as beauty, makeup, and catering.
- International Initiatives:Partnered with Food For The Poor (FFTP) & P4H Global on the Quality Education Initiative Project.
- Collaborated with Malta-Americas (MIA) on the Women’s Association Fisheries Sales Empowerment Project.
