Project Name:2021 TaiwanICDF Humanitarian Fund for Cash Transfer Project
Project status:Completed projects
Cooperating Country:Africa, Central America, Kingdom of Eswatini, Belize
Project Description:
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused great economic loss and also severely impacted the poor and vulnerable, leading to “the new poor.” The TaiwanICDF specializes in designing and implementing development projects, assisting Taiwan’s allied and friendly countries to improve their people’s living conditions through technical assistance and capacity building. Under the impact of COVID-19, the TaiwanICDF’s ongoing projects have also been affected by the pandemic. Vulnerable households related to TaiwanICDF projects have suddenly lost or decreased their source of livelihood that maintain their basic needs, and therefore are unable to cooperate with the project implementations. In response to this situation, the TaiwanICDF has established the TaiwanICDF Humanitarian Fund for Cash Transfer Project to assist the TaiwanICDF projects’ vulnerable households. The goal is to ease the impact on livelihoods and secure basic needs, so that these households are able to keep cooperating with the TaiwanICDF's project implementations and ensure the projects achieve their expected outcomes.
