Eswatini’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Leads Delegation on Visit to TaiwanICDF

A delegation from the Kingdom of Eswatini visited the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) on June 4. Eswatini Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation the Hon. Pholile Dlamini-Shakantu, led the delegation of nine officials and representatives, which included Minister of Public Works and Transport the Hon. Ndlaluhlaza Ndwandwe, and Director of the King's Office Chief Mgwagwa Gamedze.

The delegation was warmly received by TaiwanICDF Secretary General Dr. Yu-lin Huang. During the meeting, the secretary general provided an overview of the TaiwanICDF’s core missions, and held in-depth discussions with the Eswatini delegation on bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed the achievements of past cooperative projects and exchanged views on potential collaboration in areas such as agricultural processing, education and training, women's empowerment, and technology. Minister Dlamini-Shakantu expressed her gratitude for the TaiwanICDF’s long-standing contributions to Eswatini’s development, and said she looked forward to deepening the partnership in the future. These efforts align with the vision of Minister of Foreign Affairs Lin Chia-lung’s Diplomatic Allies Prosperity Project initiative, which aims to foster sustainable development and shared prosperity while strengthening diplomatic ties and creating mutual benefits.
