Project Description:
The TaiwanICDF provides concessional financing, in co-financing with the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), to support women and micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) that are owned by women, have women as majority shareholders or partners, or employ a workforce in which over 50% are women.
Project Objectives:
To support women and women entrepreneurs in Taiwan’s allied countries in accessing loans to start and operate businesses, and in promoting female employment, thereby boosting economic recovery and enhancing women’s economic empowerment.
Executing Agency:
Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI)
Implementation Arrangement:
CABEI serves as the administrator for the implementation and management of the funds provided by the TaiwanICDF. Through relevant credit programs, these resources are on-lent via banks, non-bank financial institutions, and cooperatives that have signed a credit line agreement with CABEI and meet its selection criteria, to eligible women and MSMEs.
