Project Description：

The government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG)  hopes to make use of the Republic of China (Taiwan)’s experience in smart video surveillance and its strength in technology to facilitate talent development and improve the hardware of organizations.

Implementation End Date：2025-12-31

Project Objectives：

The Royal SVG Police Force utilizes the video analytics system to facilitate their investigations. The time spent on investigating cases and collecting evidence from areas under CCTV coverage shrinks by 50%.

Executing Agency：

Taiwan Technical Mission to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines/ Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning, and Information Technology, Information Technology Services Division, and Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force.

Current Progress：

Implementation Progress：

To the end of December 2024, the following activities have been completed：

1. Conducted five capacity-building training courses: "Advanced Information Security Course," "Advanced Information Security Course," "Center Management System and Project Management Course," "Intermediate Image Recognition and Analysis Course," and "Basic Image Recognition and Analysis Course", with 35 participants completed the training.

2.Completed system design and implementation planning, layout mapping and construction planning for hotspot surveillance cameras, as well as planning for hardware and software equipment inventory and transportation.

3.Conducted a site survey on the installation locations of security cameras on Union Island and Bequia Island, and reported the findings to the government of Saint Vincent.

4. Completed Intelligent video analytics system tendering and procurement processes.

5. Upgraded and improved certain spaces and equipment in the e-Government Center training room and the Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) server room

Project Performance：

1. Enhance the IT capability of the government of SVG.

2. Expanding the coverage of video surveillance and its prevalence.

3. Establish a video analytics system and reporting mechanisms.
