Project Description：

The Fiji Ministry of Fisheries has launched the 2025–2028 Aquaculture Development Project and has requested support through this project to foster the development of a sustainable white shrimp industry value chain and encourage private sector investment. The project focuses on ensuring a stable supply of two critical inputs—shrimp post-larvae and feed—while establishing the Taiwan Aquaculture Technology Incubation Center. This center will provide services including investment promotion, start-up incubation, talent training, application of smart technologies, and cold-chain operations. Through these efforts, the project aims to strengthen the competitiveness and enhance the overall value of Fiji’s white shrimp industry.

Implementation End Date：2030-12-31

Project Objectives：

A. Establishing a reliable supply of key inputs for the white shrimp industry value chain;

B. Developing resources for investment promotion and comprehensive industry support services.

Project Performance：

The project will support Fiji in establishing a complete white shrimp aquaculture value chain and in promoting private sector investment. By the end of the project, the industry’s total output value is expected to reach US$3,000,000.
