Project Description:
The project aims to build upon the achievements of the "2024 Rice Production Enhancement Project in Artibonite Valley, Haiti", to stabilize national rice production in Haiti and to improve food security as a priority. Project implementation will involve: 1. the production of 1,200 metric tons of various grades of Taichung Sen 10 rice seed; 2. and, the production of 750 metric tons of paddy rice.

Project Objectives:
- Production of 1,200 metric tons of various grades of Taichung Sen 10 rice seeds;
- Production of 750 metric tons of paddy rice;
- Training of 12 field inspectors and 6 laboratory staff members;
- Operational support for 5 Joint Service Centers for farmers;
- Support for the operation of two agricultural machinery repair stations and provision of contract plowing services for 200 hectares;
- Training of 240 farmers and organization of two field demonstration sessions;
- Data development and application of an agricultural product traceability system.

Current Progress:
As of the end of December 2025, the following has been completed:
- Purification of four local rice varieties (Sheila, CAP, MGG, and M8).
- Production of 1.89 metric tons of nucleus seeds and 33.30 metric tons of foundation seeds.
- Production of 1,310.50 metric tons of "Taichung Sen 10" certified seeds across 400 hectares.
- Production of 760.30 metric tons of paddy rice across 250 hectares managed by farmers’ organizations.
- Training of 240 farmers, 12 seed inspectors, and six laboratory technicians.
- Operational support for five farmers’ Joint Service Centers and two machinery maintenance stations.
- Data development and application of an agricultural production system for 400 hectares.
