Project Description:
The Agricultural Productivity Recovery and Young Farmers’ Training project aims to transform and establish a comprehensive teaching and demonstration centre by integrating the existing agricultural production facilities of the Orange Hill Biotechnology Centre. The goal is to enhance agricultural education and training capabilities, while introducing Taiwan's comparative strengths in smart agriculture, vertical farming, water-saving cultivation technologies, as well as advanced environmental control equipment, facilities, and teaching methods. By selecting and encouraging St. Vincent and the Grenadines outstanding young people to participate in advanced courses on professional knowledge and technology provided by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, Rural Transformation, Industry and Labour of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the Taiwan Mission, and other international organizations, the project will guide young farmers to cultivate high-value crops and assist them in establishing market channels. Ultimately, the goal is for them to engage in various aspects of St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ agricultural industry chain, fostering continuous national agricultural development and improving the overall value of the sector.
