Project Description:
The Russia-Ukraine war has been ongoing since 2022, displacing over 4 million Ukrainians to date and causing severe damage to both businesses and civilian livelihoods. Additionally, with most adult men in Ukraine being conscripted into military service, women there have become the primary caregivers and household providers. Those women face multiple economic barriers, including access to skills training, finance, and market services. This project aims to help alleviate the situation by supporting women in Kyiv Oblast, providing an opportunity for them to enhance their skills and improve their livelihoods. Overall, the project includes the following:
1. Conduct a need assessment (including market assessment) targeting the project areas.
2. Develop specialized vocational education and training (VET) curriculum in collaboration with educational institutions.
3. Offer agriculture-related and business management training programs through conditional cash modality.
4. Access to improved modern farming skills and infrastructure through conditional cash grants.

Implementation Arrangement:
During the project implementation, WVURC implemented the proposed activities and liaised with local government units and stakeholders. The TaiwanICDF oversaw the project implementation.
