Project Description:
This project is in line with RMI’s(Republic of Marshall Islands) national development strategy and is linked to the previous stage of the project to assist residents of the outer islands to breed pigs. At the same time, it also cooperates with the embassy to promote government needs, and expands the scope of the project to RMI’s second largest island, producing and supplying locally. Demand and connect supermarkets to gradually establish sales channels to respond to the needs of RMI.

Project Objectives:
By the end of the project, it can meet 50% of the pork demand of Majuro, and establish a piglet production system on the outer island of Kwajalein Atoll.
Current Progress:
To the end of the project, the following activities have been completed:
1. Bred 4,893 piglets in Laura Farm, of which 830 were used for promotion on outer islands; held 24 training sessions that assisted 8 core pig breeders and 32 pig farmers in Majuro.
2. Set up 4 coummunity farms on the outer islands of Kwajalein, producing 121 piglets so far.
