Project Description：

The project provided the loan for the Bank Audi Lebanon to on-lend for energy efficiency and renewable energy (EE/RE) investment project.

Project Objectives：

The Loan was the first dedicated green economy financing loan in Lebanon. The proceeds of the Loan was used to extend loans for energy efficiency projects in line with the objectives of the Romania Green Economy Financing Facility. In addition, the project assisted in building capacity within Bank Audi in developing a green product offering.

Executing Agency：

Implementation Arrangement：

1. Through the PFIs, the facility provided the loans for eligible EE/RE investments in the agri-, industrial-, commercial- and the residential sector.
2. Associated Technical Assistance (TA)： The proposed Facility was supported by a TA from the EBRD’s shareholder’s funding resource. The TA included capacity building to Bank Audi which will include training, support with marketing, technical eligibility check and support with monitoring and reporting.
