國際紅十字組織成員可以分為紅十字國際委員會（International Committee of The Red Cross，簡稱ICRC）、紅十字會與紅新月會國際聯合會（The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies，簡稱IFRC）、與國家紅十字（紅新月）會 (Red Cross or Red Crescent Societies)。三者皆為獨立的組織，基於共同的人道理念，結合了數以百萬不同種族、信仰與社會背景的人們，致力於人道工作。
