Meaningful participation and recognition in the
international community
The progress of the SDGs and the Paris Agreement
signal the advent of an era of global governance.
Given its difficult diplomatic status, Taiwan faces more
difficulties in participating in international affairs compared
with other democratic nations. To achieve meaningful
participation, in addition to reinforcing linkages between
our strategies and the common goals of the international
community, the TaiwanICDF will continue to internalize
the common language and guidelines shared by the
