The TaiwanICDF’s 30th Anniversary Celebration and International Symposium

On July 1, 2026, the TaiwanICDF’s 30th anniversary morning ceremony represents the first time in the organization’s history that all its many development achievements and the future direction of Taiwan’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) system have been presented to both domestic and international audiences. This event carries significant symbolic meaning and draws considerable international attention. Through formal proceedings and the communication of key messages, it reviews Taiwan's 30-year journey and transformation in the field of international development cooperation, while also demonstrating the TaiwanICDF's continuing role and responsibility, as Taiwan’s official international aid agency, in advancing global cooperation and responding to development challenges around the world.

The afternoon international symposium continues the development narrative presented in the morning ceremony, focusing on three core themes: "global partnerships," "sustainable resilience," and "innovative approaches." Representatives from like-minded and friendly nations' missions in Taiwan, ODA agencies, international development banks, allied nations, international think tanks, as well as Taiwanese enterprises and financial institutions, are invited to attend and share their perspectives on relevant topics. The symposium will focus on technical cooperation and concrete action plans under a new global context, highlighting Taiwan's determination to actively participate in the global development community. At the conclusion of the event, Deputy Minister Chen Ming-chi of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and representatives of foreign diplomatic missions are scheduled to jointly sign the "Joint Statement on Investing in Resilient Prosperity." This act not only symbolizes a shared commitment to advancing resilient societies, but also reinforces the multilateral framework of cooperation between Taiwan and its partners, thereby optimizing the global cooperation landscape.
