Project Name:Agriculture Technology Incubation and Resilience Development Project in the Philippines

Project Description:

This project establishes an Agricultural Resilience Industry Chain Incubation Platform in the Philippines. By introducing Taiwan’s advanced resilient agricultural technologies and services, we aim to empower local Filipino businesses. Through comprehensive support in technology, talent, and capital, we seek to enhance their production resilience and business management capabilities, ultimately achieving the "Smart New Agriculture" vision of the Taiwan-Philippines mutual prosperity initiative.

Key Execution Areas include:(1) Technology Integration: Introducing Taiwan’s premium resilient agricultural technology products and services to the Philippine market.(2)Business Empowerment: Assisting Philippine enterprises in developing and managing businesses related to agricultural resilience.

Project Objectives:

To establish an Agricultural Resilience Industry Chain Incubation Platform in the Philippines. The goal is to successfully mentor 30 enterprises to achieve sustainable operations for at least 3 years.

Current Progress:

As of the end of June 2026, the key achievements of this project include:

  1. Completed the main structure and interior works of the small-scale post-harvest facility and cold storage at the incubation center.
  2. Initiated connection with regional bases, establishing cooperation with the Naga City Government to co-organize an incubation training course on high-value crops (with over 100 farmers participating).
  3. Completed the initial draft of the business investment report and a preliminary demand survey for microfinance.
  4. Assisted 1 Taiwanese enterprise and a Philippine company in completing a net-house demonstration project and validation trial with the Department of Agriculture (DA) Regional Field Office III.
  5. Co-organized the "Taiwanese AgriTech Introduction and Promotion Seminar (Business Matchmaking)" with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) - Tarlac Chapter, attracting 15 participating enterprises.
  6. Conducted 1 farmers' promotion and training session (a collaborative training course in Naga City with over 100 participants).
  7. Completed the production of the promotional video titled "Taiwan's Resilient AgriTech Makes Farmers Wealthy."
  8. Completed field validation of resilient technologies within the net-house demonstration project.
  9. Successfully guided 3 Taiwanese enterprises to participate in Philippine government procurement bidding.
