TaiwanICDF shares Taiwan's smart government experiences through the Workshop on Smart Cities

TaiwanICDF conducted the Workshop on Smart Cities from March 17 to 30. A total of 22 government officials and scholars from 17 countries visited Taiwan for the training. The workshop focused on several core concepts for smart cities, including smart safety, smart governance, smart housing and smart transportation. For example, the Social Affairs Bureau of the New Taipei City Government provided a lecture entitled “Integrated Safety Network for High-Risk Families.” Attendees also visited Taipei Urban Intelligence Center, Guangci Smart Public Residence, and Hutoushan Innovation Park in Taoyuan. These experiences showed students how the Internet of Things (IoT) is applied in governance and convenience services in Taiwan. Furthermore, the trips guided students in understanding smart management systems and their applications for improving government efficiency.

Through this program, local governments from around Taiwan promoted their smart solutions to participants from partner countries. By using the TaiwanICDF as a platform, the nation can share its smart technologies and see how they operate in foreign countries. In this way, Taiwan can stimulate international cooperation and form deeper partnerships with other nations.
